Felton Jewelers opened as "Hinchey Jewelers" in 1967. The original owner, L.T.
Hinchey, was a very talented clock and watch maker. He slowly added fine jewelry,
crystal, and pewter items to his inventory. Within a year he hired a salesperson
by the name of Shirley Pullen. After 21 years of selling fine jewelry and taking
in repairs for both jewelry and time pieces Mrs. Pullen became the owner of Hinchey
Jewelers in 1989. The store quickly grew into the busiest jewelry and watch -
clock repair shop in the Warrenton area. Hinchey Jewelers was Warrenton's "Hometown
Jeweler".
Our current owner, Darlene Felton brings yet another facet to the stores personality.
With 25 years in the jewelry business and a diverse set of skills, Mrs. Felton
was able to purchase Hinchey Jewelers from Mrs. Pullen. Mrs. Felton's experience
as a lapidary (stonecutter), silversmith and pearl restringer only added in making
Hinchey Jewelers "the place to get your jewelery repaired".
With the support of loyal customers, Hinchey Jewelers was renamed Felton Jewelers,
and to this day continues to carry on the traditions of the "Hometown Jeweler".
In January of 2003, Felton Jewelers opened its second location in historic downtown
Orange, Virginia. With an on-site Jeweler and a knowledgeable staff, this store
has quickly become another hometown favorite.
Come visit either our Orange or Warrenton store and you are sure to find friendly
helpful people willing to assist you with whatever you may need.
